well i haven't been on here much, instagram has stolen my attention. ill try to be on here more again.
my wife and myself are insanely blessed to have friends jason and michelle who were so kind as to watch our four maniacs for three days so we could get some one on one time and road trip it to miami. with four kids this rarely happens...rarely in the form of never.
i have been restoring a ford falcon for the last year and we thought we should drive it. its been a ton of work and finally got finished last week.
he started out looking like this:
wait...wrong photo....thats a dog house on wheels....
right..there you go, thats him. pro street ford falcon wagon 1965 which is synonymous for nightmare/doom/disease.
i decided to restore this monster knowing nothing about cars, now i know a bit...here are a few progress pics ( i have thousands but ill keep it simple)
(noah and marcella rule, period)
(as does my brother)
big change and lots of work....and here we go, road trippin' to miami.
but then right when everything felt so good...this guy was feeling suicidal.
sadly i was surrounded by vehicles and couldn't move out of his way or stop and my only hope was i could roll right over him but that didn't work as he was just too big. so in the middle of nowhere, outside of okeechobee, fl my transmission and this turtle entered a murder/suicide pact and road trip came to an abrupt stop.
providentially, although being in the middle of swamp hell a beacon of light shined down on us and we coasted up to "total roadside services" who happen to be the most honest and awesome mechanics i have ever dealt with. these guys rule.
he looks good even on a lift.
so $15 dollars and 40 minutes later, they fixed the broken vacuum line on tranny, lowered the lift and we were on our way.
miami was rad, good times, the art exhibits keep getting better and better, at least for me they do. I'm impressed on so may levels its hard to gather my thoughts on the topic. so rather than babble on....check the imagery:
